The must see concerts this season

NIAGARA UNIVERSITY, N.Y- With all of the albums released this summer, the winter tour season is fast approaching. Students at N.U. are in for a treat with some primary concert destinations all within an hour or two drive from campus. With Toronto just over the border and Buffalo being a hot bed for the concert tour season, here are some upcoming concerts to keep your eye on.  

BROCKHAMPTON- Coca-Cola Coliseum, Toronto Canada, Nov. 29

After releasing their fifth studio album “Ginger” on Aug. 23, the self proclaimed “American boyband” is set to head out on tour this fall. Known for their interactive concerts, crazy stage designs and great concert atmosphere, BROCKHAMPTON is worth taking a trip over the border to see. 

Brandi Carlile- Fallsview Casino, Niagara Falls Ontario, Nov. 9

Grammy award winner Brandi Carlile is coming to the Fallsview Casino. Carlile’s music spans multiple genres, consisting of a blend of americana, folk and rock. Carlile has been a staple in the rock and folk scene for the better part of 15 years. Fallsview Casino is a fifteen minute drive from campus and worth the ticket price to see a music legend like Carlile. 

Bone Thugs N Harmony- Town Ballroom, Buffalo New York, Nov. 2

The Grammy award winning hip hop/R&B group is coming to the Town Ballroom in late November. Town Ballroom is a 30 minute drive from campus and is one of the best kept secrets in New York’s concert scene. With hits like “Crossroads,” “I tried” and “Thug Luv,” it’s a must grab ticket for any early 2000’s hip hop lover. 

Taking Back Sunday- Buffalo Riverworks, Buffalo New York, Oct. 31

If costume parties are not your thing, then spend your Halloween with Taking Back Sunday. The early 2000’s rock band, with hits like, “MakeDamnSure” and “You’re So Last Summer,” is coming to Buffalo Riverworks; just a short trip down the I-90. If you missed getting tickets for the first show, don’t worry they have a second show on Nov. 1!
