Derian Plouffe
The Shawville, Quebec native came to Niagara after playing for the Smiths Falls Bears of the CCHL. As a freshman he appeared in 32 games while posting five goals and five assists. He was also named to the 2015 AHA All-Academic Team. In his sophomore season he appeared in all 37 games while leading the Purple Eagles with 11 goals and 18 points. After an injury shortened junior year, Plouffe came back his senior year and posted 17 goals and 18 assists to lead the Purple Eagles once again. Following his senior season Plouffe was given an amateur tryout with the Toronto Marlies the AHL team of the Toronto Maple Leafs. In 10 games in the 2017-18 season he put up three assists. In the 18-19 season Plouffe has spent most of the season in the ECHL playing for the Newfoundland Growlers posting 13 goals and 10 assists in his first full professional season.
Kahlil Dukes
Dukes came to Monteagle Ridge after spending two seasons at USC. The former Trojan was forced to sit out the 2015-16 season due to NCAA transfer rules but came back the 2016-17 season and started in 32 of the 33 games he appeared in. He set the program record for free throw percentage by draining 92.1 percent of free throws which was good for first in the MAAC and fifth in the NCAA. He averaged 15.5 PPG as a redshirt-Junior. In his final season with the Purple Eagles Dukes averaged 21.0 PPG and was 90.9 percent from the line while starting all 33 games. After his career ended with NU, Dukes signed with BC Irkut of the Russian Basketball Super League 1. Dukes leads the team in scoring averaging 22.5 points, 4.1 APG and 3.1 RPG.
Greg Cullen
As a freshman Cullen started in 53 games and led the Purple Eagles in hits (65), runs (37) and at bats (213). As a sophomore the Penfield, NY native ended his season with 62 hits, 30 runs, and 33 RBIs while adding a .341 batting average. As a junior Cullen ended his season hitting .458 which was good for tops in all of Division I. He added 81 hits, four HRs and 42 RBIs. When the MLB Draft came around in June 2018, Cullen was selected by the Atlanta Braves in the 15th round. In his first professional season Cullen hit .280 in Rookie Ball playing for the Danville Braves. As of April 15, 2019, Cullen is playing for the Rome Braves of the South Atlantic League. He is hitting .211 in his first 10 games and has added four walks
