A Cure

By: Jade King

Second guessing
Strong doubt
Something that wouldn’t usually stick, is all I think about
Low self-esteem
Can’t find an outlet to blow off steam
Loss of interest
Change of pace
Somethings cannot be so easily replaced
I don’t want your pity,
Your condolence,
or sorrow
But your understanding is what will help for a better tomorrow
I’m trying
I’m fighting
I’m looking for a cure
All I want to is to go back to when I was pure
A cup of coffee
A listening ear
Little things that help me to live without fear
fear from judgment
fear to fail
free from my brain that holds me in jail
Not invincible
Or free from pain
But I will see that beyond all this, there is still something to gain
