BUFFALO, N.Y.- On Thursday, September 20, the new Buffalo Rec Room hosted one of it’s first events. Trevor Christensen, better known as Said the Sky, brought his Wide-Eyed Tour to Buffalo. The Buffalo Rec Room is located on West Chippewa Street, and held the event from 8pm-12am.
Said the Sky is an American electronic music producer and musician. In June of 2014, he released his debut EP “Faith.” As the next few years went on, he continued to produce singles and collaborations. His most successful collaborations are with an another American electronic DJ and producer, Illenium. Throughout Said the Sky’s music career, Illenium has worked closely alongside him and supported the rising of his work. Said the Sky also has supported Illenium on his headlining tour across the United States.
Since the start of his career, he has released albums including his most recent “Wide-Eyed,” “Faith EP,” “Find You EP” and “Faith.”He has also remixed several songs including the Chainsmoker’s “All We Know,” and toured the United States and performed at several music festivals across the country. Some of which include Moonrise Music Festival, Lost Lands Music Festival, and Bonnaroo Music Festival.
Said the Sky brought an energetic, beautiful set to the Buffalo Rec Room. Although the crowd was smaller than typical shows with approximately 50 guests, the intimate venue allowed for a more personal-feeling experience. His set ran from 11pm to 12am.
Said the Sky opened with one of his hit tracks and collaboration with Illenium “Where’d You Go,” getting the crowd ready for his set. He also performed several other hit tracks and remixes throughout his performance.
The visuals and energy brought with his Wide-Eyed tour kept the crowd engaged and smiling the entire night. Although the attendance was on the low side, he did an excellent job performing and delivered an experience just as great as his larger shows.
