Marshmello comes to Buffalo

BUFFALO, N.Y.- Christopher Comstock, more commonly known by the professional name Marshmello, is a 25-year-old American, electronic dance music producer(EDM).

On Thursday, Feb.1 world famous DJ Marshmello took the stage at Buffalo Riverworks along with opening DJ’s Ghastly and Said the Sky for a sold out show. Previously, Marshmello also performed at many famous music festivals across the globe including; Electric Daisy Carnival(EDC), Ultra Music Festival, Tomorrowland, Bonnaroo and Lollapalooza, to name a few. Buffalo Riverworks fled with fans of all cultures, ages, and styles to unite for a night filled with head banging, dancing and insane bass drops. As he played his hit tracks, the crowd sang along and danced to the beat, meanwhile the stage lights flashed around the room in a multitude of colors as confetti, smoke and fire erupted from the stage cannons to contribute to the amazing visuals of the show. The night will forever remain a vibrant memory for many fans, including myself.

Marshmello first gained global recognition when he began to remix the music of other famous DJ’s including Zedd and Jack U. Recently in his career, he collaborated with artists including; Khalid, Lil Peep, Selena Gomez, Slushii, Ookay and Jauz, with several tracks landing spots in the Global and American Top 50. His most recent collaboration, “There x2” with EDM artist Slushii, was released on Friday, Feb. 2(via billboard.com).

For most of his career, Marshmello’s identity was not revealed(with the exception of an identity reveal at the 2016 Electric Daisy Carnival in Las Vegas that took the crowd by surprise). This was the first and only face reveal of his career to date, unveiling his true identity- Christopher Comstock. Since then, he continues to cover his identity by only performing while wearing his helmet that resembles a Marshmallow. This signature look sets him apart from other artists and inspires concert-goers and fans to take part in the fun of wearing Marshmello merchandise and helmets.

Marshmello is an incredible DJ in the world of Electronic Dance Music and is definitely an artist that everyone should have on their playlists.
