Season 3 of Rick and Morty premieres on April 1st

On April Fool’s Day, Adult Swim premiered season 3 of the popular animated cartoon “Rick and Morty” on its website’s livestream page. It played on repeat for little over 24 hours before another show took its place.
Even then, it was plenty of time for news of the season’s release to spread like wildfire. In the chat next to the episode’s stream, hundreds of users made it clear that they could not believe what they were seeing. The new season came as a complete surprise, with absolutely no information regarding it coming out in advance.
This led to many people remaining skeptical to the fact that the season had come out. Paired with its April Fool’s Day release, some people thought the whole situation was a joke and missed out on the new episode.
“Rick and Morty” is a sci-fi cartoon that manages to be as funny as it is dark. In the show, alcoholic scientist Rick takes his grandson Morty on dangerous adventures across the multiverse, often for narcissistic and morally abhorrent results. From mega seeds to McDonald’s szechuan sauce, Rick stops at nothing to get what he wants, no matter how much Morty might whine or get injured in the process.
