Niagara University women’s lacrosse kicked off the season in dominating fashion routing St. Bonaventure 18-5.
The closest the Bonas were able to make it was 2-2 early in the first half – from there, it was all Purple Eagles. Niagara continued their dominance throughout the half as they out scored their opponent 8-1. The women were then able to put up eight tallies in the second half. St. Bonavenure only found the back of the net twice in the second half of the game.
Nine different players scored for Niagara with sophomores Alexis Morales and Rachel MacCheyne leading the attack accounting for half of the team’s goals (Morales had five, MacCheyne had four). Rachel Perla led St. Bonaventure’s effort with a pair goals.
The women’s next game is at home against Colgate University, Tuesday, Feb. 28.
Classless article. I would expect better from a Catholic institution. I would hope you’re better than that. Can’t wait to see how you write it when your team runs into someone better and gets their asses handed to them. It will happen! Can’t wait for that.
