Over the past few decades, Darien Lake has evolved its concert venue which now often feels just as popular, if not more so, than its amusement park. When summer rolls around, many look to Darien Lake for their concerts as they continue to bring some of the largest names in music to Western New York year in and year out. The demand for tickets has been never been higher, especially when it comes to their country tickets, which often sell out in nearly the blink of an eye. Live Nation, who operates the Darien Lake concerts, has released information on how to gain access to the summer’s premier five shows in the 2017 Country Megaticket, presented by Roswell Park Cancer Institute.
The five show event kicks off on June 3, when Jason Aldean takes the stage to open the summer series. Aldean is coming off a year where he released the popular album “They Don’t Know.” In the album includes the song “Lights Come On,” which game Aldean the award for “Top Country Song” at the 2016 American Country Music (ACM) Awards. Aldean, who constantly has songs in the top 10 on the charts, will look to make a splash when he goes on stage to start the series.
Florida Georgia Line comes to Darien Lake on June 16. They also released an album in 2016 called “Dig Your Roots,” which helped the tandem win “Favorite Duo or Group” at this past year’s American Music Awards. The album’s lead single “H.O.L.Y” became an instant success, earning the group yet another number-one single on multiple charts. Since their inception in 2010, Florida Georgia Line has remained one of the popular music groups in the nation and are sure to pack in a large crowd when they return to Western New York.
Arguably the most popular of the five groups, Zac Brown Band will bring their talents to Darien Lake for yet another time on June 25. The group, who constantly attracts a large crowd wherever they go, has won multiple Grammy Awards and has had 11 number-one songs on the Billboard Hot Country Songs. Among their hits are “Chicken Fried,” “Homegrown,” “Toes,” and “Keep Me in Mind.” Zac Brown Band has brought people back year after year for their music, and look for that to continue into 2017.
Dierks Bentley takes to the stage next on Aug. 4. His most recent album, “Black,” was released last year to commercial and critical acclaim. The album featured hits such as “Somewhere on a Beach” and “Different For Girls,” both of which, as singles, were number-one hits. Bentley, who has blossomed into one of the biggest names in country since his debut in 2003, has risen to one of the top stars in the industry. As the calendar turns over to August, watch for Bentley to continue the summer vibe as the last month of summer approaches.
Concluding the upcoming summer’s set is Luke Bryan, who takes to the stage on Aug. 25. In 2016, Bryan won multiple awards including “Top Country Artist” at the Billboard Music Awards and “Country Artist of the Year” at the iHeartRadio Music Awards after going on tour for his new album “Kill The Lights.”. Look for him to continue on stage with many of his hits from that album, including “Move,” “Strip It Down” and “Kick The Dust Up.” Bryan will look to bring the house down to close out the country series at Darien Lake as the summer comes to an end.
Tickets for the 2017 Country Megaticket start at $150, which includes a lawn ticket to all five shows and includes presale access to the 2018 Country Megaticket.
